These terms apply when you use Profplanet. By creating an account you agree to them, so please read them.
Profplanet provides study notes, revision material, past papers, practical guides and assessment tools aligned to Kenya's CDACC curriculum. We are an independent study platform. We are not CDACC, TVETA, or any examining body, and we are not endorsed by them. Our material is a study aid, not an official syllabus document.
Your subscription is a personal licence to study the material. You may read it, and download what your plan allows, for your own learning.
You may not redistribute it. That includes sharing downloads in WhatsApp or Telegram groups, uploading it to other websites, selling it, or reproducing it in your own materials. Downloads carry the name of the person they were issued to, so a shared copy is traceable.
Past papers are published by their respective examining bodies and remain theirs. We provide them for study convenience.
The platform allows you to contribute material, for example by flagging an error, proposing an edit, uploading a past paper, reviewing another contributor's work, or adding teaching material. Contributions may earn you credits, which can be spent on the platform.
By submitting a contribution you assign to Profplanet Technologies, in consideration of the credits awarded and of your continued access to the platform, all intellectual property rights in that contribution, absolutely and throughout the world. Profplanet may use, adapt, publish, translate and distribute the contribution without further payment or attribution, and may continue to do so after your account closes.
You warrant that each contribution is your own work or that you otherwise hold the rights necessary to assign it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or breach any duty of confidence. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from a contribution that breaches this warranty.
Where you have moral rights in a contribution, you waive them to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here obliges us to publish or retain any contribution, and we may edit or remove any of it at our discretion.
Credits earned on the platform can be spent on downloads and other paid features. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may expire. We may withdraw credits obtained by gaming the system, for example through fake accounts or referrals.
The platform and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While our material is prepared with care and aligned to the CDACC curriculum, we give no warranty, express or implied, that it is accurate, complete, current, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, including success in any examination or assessment. If you find an error, please flag it.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or free of defects, and we may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it, including particular content or features, without notice.
You are responsible for how you use the material and for any decision you take in reliance on it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Profplanet Technologies, its directors, employees and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, data or goodwill, nor for examination results, academic outcomes or professional consequences of any kind, however arising and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such loss.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Kenyan law.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly where content is being redistributed or the credit system is being abused.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the Kenyan courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
